Movement Search & Delivery is working with a global manufacturing company going through substantial growth. They are expanding their footprint with new equipment to increase production capacity.

We are seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in the greater Louisville area. There is very little travel with this role, as this company does a lot of in-house integration. Our client works in several industries, offering the opportunity to gain a well-rounded understanding of controls and automation projects with their different customers. Responsibilities:

• Involvement in CapEx projects from start to finish – planning & implementing designs, developing and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical controls systems for equipment, machinery, application tools, and fixtures.
• Provide an overview of design concepts for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with new technology to assist in the advancement and development of the company to support customer needs.
• Budget creation for new equipment designs or upgrades.
• Lead startup of equipment, vision systems, robots, sensors, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and production team, as well as other engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
• 2-5+ years of experience in controls and automation
• Allen Bradley PLC & PanelView Plus HMI troubleshooting/programming experience
• EthernetIP, DeviceNet, or Sercos networking experience
• Understanding of Servo Drives and VFDs
• Robotics experience is a plus
