    Job Opportunities > Assistant Director, Intermediate Curriculum & Innovative Learning (Grades 5-8) Olentangy Local SchoolsAssistant Director, Intermediate Curriculum & Innovative Learning (Grades 5-8) Olentangy Local Schools Start Date 8/1/24DutiesThere will be an Assistant Director of Intermediate Curriculum & Innovative Learning (Grades 5-8) position available within the Olentangy Local School District for the school year.

    The Assistant Director of Curriculum & Innovative Learning will provide leadership in the on-going development and improvement of intermediate level (Grades 5-8) curriculum, assessment, and instructional programming; collaborate with the Assistant Director of Secondary Curriculum and the Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships to develop vertical career and technical opportunities, develop credentialing pathways; enhance pre-apprenticeship/mentorship opportunities and strategically develop innovative learning, opportunities in collaboration with the academic team; assist the Director of Curriculum in working with the Board, the district leadership team, building administrators, staff, parents, community partners and professional organizations; and, strategically plan, develop, and implement innovative learning opportunities and maintain excellent educational programs to fulfill the mission and vision of the Olentangy Local School District.


    Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

    ability to analyze assessment data and determine appropriate changes to the curriculum to correct deficiencies; create and implement professional development opportunities; knowledge and progress monitoring and reporting for state and federal title funding; understand College Career Workforce Readiness state measures, Career Tech Educational (CTE) reporting, pathways and credentialing; knowledge of public-school policies and practices; experience coordinating academic programs; organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with others; ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; effective, active listening skills; ability and skill to operate various computer programs; facilitate and provide instruction during professional development opportunities; and understanding and patient with staff, parents, and students.

    Experience RequiredQualifications for the position include a Masters Degree or higher; Ohio Administrative Certificate and/or Administrative Specialist License; and, five (5) years of administrative experience preferred.

    Alternatives to these qualifications as deemed appropriate by the superintendent.
