    The

    Marketing Director


    is responsible for driving topline revenue for Sun Valley Resort and driving the strategic vision for Marketing and Communications at Sun Valley Resort.

    The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, a proven track record of driving revenue through building and managing brands and marketing teams, and a deep understanding of Marketing and Communications strategy.

    This leader is a strategic thinker, has a strong understanding of digital media, and is experienced in driving a customer relationship strategy in the hospitality industry.

    This leader will set a vision for growth and mobilize the organization to achieve that vision using both knowledge and leadership ability.

    This role will be instrumental in creating a marketing ecosystem that delivers on Sun Valley's brand experience, drives engagement, and contributes to Sun Valley's financial targets.

    The Marketing Director is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Marketing and Communications team.

    In addition to overseeing the execution of marketing plans, the Marketing Director is responsible for building a strong team dynamic with a focus on continuous improvement.

    The ideal candidate will be able to balance the importance of business goals and team development.
    Duties & Responsibilities

    Advertising:
    Oversee, track, and monitor advertising programs for Sun Valley Resort.

    Brand Strategy:


    Responsible for maintaining the Sun Valley brand and developing a deep understanding of key brand differentiators, customer motivators, and target audiences.


    Digital Strategy and Optimization:
    Build and oversee data-driven digital marketing strategies focusing on A/B testing and optimization.

    Earned Media:
    Oversee all earned media efforts for the resort in partnership with a PR agency.

    Financial Analysis & Business Acumen:
    Own financial performance and ROI for all marketing initiatives.

    Team Leadership & Development:
    Proven track record for building high-performing marketing teams. Must demonstrate high emotional intelligence, openness to change, and willingness to collaborate to bring forward ideal solutions.

    Internal & External Partnerships:
    Lead marketing and communication efforts between team and resort stakeholders, focusing on shared interests and driving results. Guide and develop partnerships with vendors and advertising agencies to drive Sun Valley's marketing goals.

    Product Marketing:


    The responsibility is to analyze and drive growth in mountain and village products and programs that will increase visitation through destination markets.


    Essential requirements and qualifications:
    Four-year college degree, Marketing or Business emphasis preferred
    8+ years of marketing experience
    4+ years in a management role
    Proficient with Microsoft Office
    Track record of developing data-driven campaigns with a focus on driving results
