    Description

    Job Overview

    The incumbent operates and maintains fuel storage and distribution systems and equipment. Receives, samples, stores, transfers, and issues fuel through pipelines and tank trucks. Operates and maintains a high pressure LN2/GN2 conversion facility, distribution system and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Perform bulk fuels operations and system maintenance including a GVFF
  • Operate and maintain a constant pressure fuel system
  • Receive, sample, store and issue hydrocarbon fuels via pipeline and tank truck
  • Gauge tanks for water, temperature and fuel levels
  • Prepare and verify accountable documents for issues, transfers, sales and receipts
  • Perform quality control procedures IAW 42B-1-1
  • Operate and maintain R-11 refueling equipment
  • Monitor pumping system during operation for proper operation, pressures, temperatures, excessive vibration, noise, etc.
  • Operate and maintain a High pressure LN2/GN2 conversion facility
  • Receive and store cryogenic products (LN2, LOX)
  • Operate and maintain a High pressure GN2 distribution system
  • Fill high pressure GN2 trailers
  • Perform general housekeeping for all areas of responsibility
  • Performs other related work as assigned
  • Job Requirements

    Mandatory:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a graduate of the AF Fuels Apprentice Course J3ABR2F031 00AB or sister service equivalent.
  • Two (2) years relevant work experience.
  • Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
