    Description

    Position Summary
    Senior Accountant at MedReview will facilitate the day-to-day accounting for the organization, ensuring prompt and accurate recording of transactions and preparation of the financial statements. The role will support Director of Finance in the strategic initiatives of the organization, ensuring continued growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, GL accounting, and budgeting.

    • Process bi-weekly payroll in Namely.
    • Monitor daily banking activities for fraud and unblocking new ACH debit payees.
    • Responsible to notify AR and AP of money activities relate to each unit.
    • Record all miscellaneous deposit and withdraw that is not AR or AP related in NetSuite.
    • Prepare CAMFR claims for HRA monthly claims.
    • Process physician compensation twice a month.
    • Initiate Bill Pay, Wire, ACH, internal transfer, and upload ACH payment activities in Chase online.
    • Assist Director of Finance for 401K Audit.
    • Back-up for Finance clerk and Director of Finance.
    • Supports in the preparation of periodic (monthly) financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.
    • Prepares bank reconciliation, follows through on reconciling items, and post banking transaction.
    • Bi-weekly process of uploading 401K, loan and ER match to Financial Institute.
    • Maintains internal tracking of retirement plan contributions and provides calculations as necessary for transfers of funds to third-party administrators.
    • Coordinates smooth conduct of annual and other periodic audits of the financial statements; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
    • Provides third-party accounting firm with assistance, as it relates to the preparation and filing of required tax forms with federal and state agencies.
    • Supports in the preparation of other tax forms with local government agencies as needed.
    • Assists in the annual budgeting process of the company.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Required Skills
    • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
    • Extensive knowledge of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Proficient with accounting software.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Experience in Namely and NetSuite preferred.
    Qualifications
    • Five-plus years of professional accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
    • US work authorization
    Work Environment
    • Visual and Auditory comprehension & function for written & verbal communication.
    • Manual Dexterity with ability to use computers and other office equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks
    • Ability to access various settings, negotiate architectural barriers (i.e., stairs) in office and community settings
    • Ability use Public Transportation to commute to work
    • Monday-Thursday in office

    • High speed internet (300 Mbps per person recommended) with secured WIFI.
    • A dedicated workspace with minimal interruptions to protect PHI and HIPAA information.
    • Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

    Salary: 85k-90k
