    Job Description:


    Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Business Data Analytics Analyst (Contract) to join our Engineering Business Operations department based in Mobile, AL.

    This position is located in Mobile, AL.


    You will be part of a team analyzing, recommending, & presenting complex site performance information to Operations & Engineering leaders & team members.

    You will have the ability to independently complete large-scope, multidimensional work tasks or projects using business & project management skills, concepts, and methods as needed.

    You will provide regular data analytics & analysis feedback to improve site overall & specific team performance.

    Your Challenges:

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Analytics Products Development, Maintenance and Support: 30%


    Evaluate analytic needs & objectives for internal business customersAnalyze & design the appropriate data visualization solution componentsProvide functional & technical guidance to business customers & partners regarding data visualization needsAnalyze & assemble complex sets of data by applying knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle) & Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Alteryx, SmartSheets) to drastically reduce report creation timeDevelop visualizations using various tools, that present data in understandable visual formatsDeliver packages & projects within the framework prescribed by the HO Business Ops for AAESupport all Analytics team activities, including development, maintenance, & operationsDesign, develop, & release dashboards, applications, & reports along with data products supporting & enabling efficient engineering cost, schedule & quality targets2.

    Analytics Research: 30%


    Advise AAE leadership on Data Analytical Methods & Tools to best meet business targetsResearch and document new and improved features on existing toolsBecome familiar with new analytics technologies in Airbus and in the marketplaceStay current on latest analytics trend, emerging technologies, & advancements in data analytics & toolsRecommend new ways of using tools to further business needsDesign reports which reflect solid understanding of organization-wide functions3.

    Data Management: 20%


    Data sourcing, advanced analytics & reporting to support business management forecasting capabilitiesIntegration of data sourcing, retrieval, & cleansing data sets to produce analytics to meet customer requirementsIntegration of access to data sources through respective data administratorsUse existing data sources & develop analytical tools to gather organization insights into capabilities, expertise, & performance to support data-driven decision makingValidate business analytics toolset developments & variables to provide analytical expertise to customer teams4.

    Communication: 20%

    Apply analytics results to form recommendations on how to improve, accommodate, or handle changes as neededCommunicate & defend results in front of various audiences at all levels of the organizationCommunicate analytical assumptions to build trust with data consumers Training end users on business analytics tool sets & visual management productsPrepare reports to management targeting areas for improvement that outline recommendations & expected operational performance improvements

    Additional Responsibilities:
    Serves as resource to internal & external entities when expertise is needed to address Tableau-specific questionsContinually aware of external Perform market analyses to aid in company strategic decision makingMaintain configuration of analytical dashboards & reporting to ensure consistency & efficiency across the organizationOther duties as assigned

    Must be currently located in the Mobile, AL areaBachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Management, requiredMaster's Degree in Business Management / Data Analytics is a plus1-3 years' experience in business management / performance management in an aerospace engineering environment, requiredSkills in data analytics & visual management, organizational change, advanced analytical reporting, requiredDemonstrable communications & computer skills; ability to consolidate information into concise reports for senior leadership use in an international, multicultural work environment, requiredExperience in data governance, process improvement, resource & competency management, preferredExperience with Google Workspace applications in a professional work environment, preferredKnowledge and experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Appsheet, Google Looker Studio) preferredUse of data blending, extraction, load and transformation tools (Alteryx) preferredFluency (speaking, reading, writing) in English is requiredSpanish, German or French language skills are a plusStrong written and oral business oriented communication skills regarding recommendations to site and project leadership, requiredAbility to occasionally review, coordinate, and collaborate closely on information and reports generated by others in an international, multi-cultural environment, requiredUnderstanding of Windows operating systems & Google Workspace office applications, requiredProficient in one or more of the following:
    .NET, Python, C++, CSS, HTML, Java; preferredUp to 10% domestic travel may be involved

    This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed.
