    Job OverviewKomatsu is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong expertise in Electric motor manufacturing to provide technical assistance to manufacturing by evaluating methods and equipment to reduce manufacturing cost.

    This role will assist in the implementation of capital projects develop new and improved manufacturing methods, provide solution to daily manufacturing issues, and explore and develop cost improvement opportunities.

    Assists the implementation of capital projects.
    Develops new and improved manufacturing methodsProvides solutions to daily manufacturing problems.
    Explores and develops cost improvement opportunities.
    Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
    Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
    Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
    Develops step-by-step methods for making the productsCommunicates effectively with the management, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company.

    Identify and reports any cost improvementsArranges for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates them according to specifications and quality standardsEstimates production times and determines how many workers are required to meet production schedulesCreating and approving process mapsDevises racks, bins or other containers that protect parts and insure qualityAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflowDesigns the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiencyAssists in the design of jigs, tools, fixtures, and special equipment for CNC applicationsQualifications/Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.

    Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience focused on electrical preferably traction motors. Familiar with standard field concepts, practices and procedures in electrical field.

    Experience with dimensional mechanical measurement tools, micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, etc Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), AutoCAD, solid modeling soft ware such as SolidworksAdditional Information Additional experiences with ABB, Wabtec/GE, CAT, John Deere, Toshiba, Rockwell, Siemens, Dana, Bosch or Tesla.
