    Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Labor and Delivery unit. As a member of our dedicated healthcare team, you will play a key role in providing safe and personalized care to expectant mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being of both mother and baby by monitoring their condition, administering medications, and providing emotional support.
    Responsibilities:
    • Assess and monitor the condition of expectant mothers and fetuses during labor and delivery.
    • Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as needed.
    • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    • Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families.
    • Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rates, and contractions.
    • Assist with the management of high-risk pregnancies and emergencies.
    • Prepare patients for labor and delivery and assist with the birthing process.
    • Care for newborns, including performing initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with breastfeeding.
    • Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the labor and delivery unit.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    • Stay current with best practices and advancements in labor and delivery nursing.
    Qualifications:
    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    L&D/OB RN
    13 week assignment
    36 hrs
    12 h nights with an every other weekend/holiday rotation
    BLS & NRP required, AWHONN and STABLE strongly preferred
    NH or multi-state license
    Must have Post-Partum, Mother/Baby, and Nursery experience
    07/15 start
