Description
JOB SUMMARY
Registered Nurses (RNs) care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent or disabled.
Under general supervision, they deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy.
RNs collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. RNs effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Dialysis Nurses provide care and support for patients suffering from acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure. They assist pre- and during dialysis procedures, following physician orders.Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
Licensure:
Current RN License in the State of Georgia, BLS CPR required
Experience: 2 or more years experience in area of specialty preferred
Skills:
Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in typical acute health care setting with adolescent, adult and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical and/or surgical problems.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.
