- Operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance. Operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment and perform related work as required.
- Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures followed in the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
- Knowledge of the types and uses of snow removal and ice control equipment.
- Skill in the operation of motor vehicles and power-oriented equipment.
- Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D license and knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles.
- Hoisters license shall be obtained before the end of the probation period.
