Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the laboratorymanager,performs EEGsin the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units. Performs Ambulatory EEG recordings andelectrocerebral silence tracings. Performs intensiveneurodiagnosticmonitoring (INDM) of patients in the epilepsy center. Performs evoked potential recordings.Assistsphysicians in EMG, NCV and TCD studies.Shares an on-call rotation with other staff for emergency studies.

1. Position Requirements 

1. Licensure/Certification/Registration:  

BLS certificationfromAHA or ARCrequired.   

Must be ABRET EEG registered. Knowledge/experience in neurophysiologic testing including evokedpotentials. 

1. Education:  

Graduate of an accreditedElectroneurodiagnostictechnology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training. Somecollege levelwork is preferable. 

1. Experience:  

2 years minimum experience inNeurodiagnostictechnology (may include time spent in training). 

1. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

Able to independently perform routine EEG studies as per job-specific criteria.
