Position Description

Job Title: Housekeeper

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Part-Time

Reporting Functions: Reports to Pastor

Job Function: Provides housekeeping and laundry service to the Priest's Residence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean the Priest's Residence by dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming as well as other cleaning procedures.
• Develop a cleaning schedule to ensure all necessary areas are maintained properly.
• Empties trash and recycling containers, replaces liners, as appropriate, and disposes of trash and recycling in proper receptacles and put out on designated trash day.
• Provide laundry service for the Pastor living in the rectory. This includes washing and ironing all clothes, sheets, and towels. Maintain a consistent laundry schedule in consultation with the Pastor. Provide some minor clothes repair when needed.
• Purchase and/or order cleaning supplies. Prepare a list of cleaning supplies as needed.
• Informs Pastor of needed repairs or other related maintenance issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned and asked by the Pastor.

Educational Requirements:

• A High School education is required.
• At least 3 years of previous cleaning experience.

• All safe environment checks and/or clearances must be in place before employment.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning products.
• Exhibit a high degree of integrity, loyalty, and dependability.
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Have good organizational skills and be able to work independently.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Housekeeper will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule. Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions: Normal parish environment. Part-Time; 10-12 hours per week; flexible hours.
