    LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Manufacturing client near the Detroit MI area to help fill an Engineer Manager position. This position provides an opportunity to expand your skillset within a dynamic environment. As the Engineer Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, managing the engineering life cycle from design to prototype development and the quality assurance of products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing support and mentoring.
    • Identify, track, and resolve major new product ramps and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Implement automation projects to improve efficiency.
    • Lead the development and implementation of Quality and Regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate capital equipment and provide related cost justifications.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Plan and develop strategies for Process and Test Method Validations.
    • Communicate procedures, policies, improvement ideas, technical information, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team.
    • Apply and promote Lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows.
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
    • Plan, execute, and manage project activities with cross-functional teams.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Lead staff performance management activities to improve capabilities and skills.
    • Utilize regular objective setting, performance appraisals, and coaching for individual development plans.
    • Perform root cause analysis for non-conforming parts, dispositions, and assemblies.
    • Implement corrective actions to address identified issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven experience in engineering management and project leadership.
    • In-depth knowledge of Quality and Regulatory requirements.
    • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in performance management and staff development.
