    Description

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at WellMed, part of the Optum family of businesses. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and supporting physicians and nursing personnel with various tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures
    • Maintain established quality control standards
    • Record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately
    • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies
    • Organize, stock, and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration
    • Current CPR and/or BLS certification
    • Microsoft experience
    • Demonstrated phlebotomy skills
    • Proven knowledge of medical terminology

    Preferred Qualification:

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency
