    We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Manufacturing Engineer The Manufacturing Engineer Summer Intern will work closely with the manufacturing engineering team to support various aspects of the manufacturing process. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, optimize production efficiency, and ensure product quality.

    Essential Functions

    1. Assist engineers with technical support and problem-solving skills for the Manufacturing department to meet quality and quantity objectives.
    2. Assist in lean manufacturing initiatives.
    3. Perform necessary testing for the department.
    4. Collaborate with engineers to write work instructions for new manufacturing processes.
    5. Assist manufacturing engineers with initiating continuous improvement activities.
    6. Perform other duties as assigned.
    Required Skills/Abilities
    1. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    3. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    5. Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Solid Works
    Required Qualifications
    1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
    2. Strong academic background with coursework in manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
    3. Willingness to apply coursework to hands-on tasks within the manufacturing floor.
    4. Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the success of the organization.
    This is a full-time position during the duration of the Summer, on-site at the manufacturing facility. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. This position will begin approximately May 2024 and conclude August 2024.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

    This job operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. This role must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and exhibit good visual acuity to perform daily tasks.

    This position must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
