As the Pharmacy Services Project Manager, you will manage the development, planning, implementation, tracking, monitoring and reporting on projects within Pharmacy Services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaboratively work with Pharmacy Services leadership on project prioritization
Responsible for leading, planning, resource allocation, implementation, communication, budget and evaluation of key departmental projects
Responsible for investigating, creating, and recommending revision to processes, policies, and procedures related to projects
Collaborates with departmental leadership on the preparation and coordination of project presentations and report outs.
Responsible for developing and maintaining project management tracking tool
Collaborate with IT and other service lines or essential services in the development of tools to support project work and pharmacy operations
Develop processes and tools for leadership to manage departmental programs/projects independently
For identified projects/initiatives, develop, implement, and supervise the operation of processes and procedures which will increase efficiency, patient or customer experience, and/or decrease costs
Develop and maintain efficient control processes and metrics for implemented projects
Develop thorough understanding of clinical and operational data systems integral to providing analytical support
Utilize and analyze data to identify trends, patterns and areas of improvement in pharmacy services (inpatient and IVAS operations, supply chain, outpatient/mail order, clinical pharmacy programs)
Manage day to day work efforts of project team members. Coach, counsel and manage work performance of the team
Build project work plans including well defined timelines and milestones. Ensures key project milestones are met on time.
Mentor and educate staff on performance improvement methodology
Researches innovative methodologies to address operational process redesign projects
Research and identify related benchmarks to be used in establishing internal standards, targets, and/or practices
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration required
Master's Degree preferred
Project management, process improvement, data management, statistical analysis and computer experience required
Project Management experience in Healthcare setting preferred
Certificate in Project Management (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
