Position Responsibilities

Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. manage AR/AP functions.
Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable function which includes processing invoices in a timely manner in accordance with vendor payment terms, verify and prepare ACH/Wire payments, or checks for vendors and employee expense reports, ensure accuracy.
Responsible for full-cycle accounts receivable function, perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and posting accounts receivables data, cash receipts posting, credit card transactions posting, Web order transactions and check deposits.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Contacting clients for any collections needed.
Be proactive and responsible with any vendor, customer and internal inquiries related to bills and payments and perform research and analysis of invoices if needed.
Accurately process annual IRS 1099 and 1096 forms
Perform account reconciliations such as AP Aging, AR Aging, bank accounts.
Monitor daily bank activities, do daily bank account reconciliations and transfer of funds between bank accounts if needed.
Assist with auditors' requests during internal and external audits.
Assist with month, quarterly, year-end close and other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience Requirements

A minimum of three years of full charge bookkeeper/Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions is required.
Experience with Great plains software is required.
Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking skills

Education Responsibilities

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting a plus

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Work schedule Monday - Friday
Work location (Schaumburg)

Physical Demands

Be able to sit at a computer for 8 hours a day
