As an Estimator you will prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions This team member will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset;
The goal is to provide detailed reports so the company can make informed decisions that will enhance its profitability and growth

Responsibilities

Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
Gather first hand information from sites or other venues
Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs materials production times etc
Participation in bid reviews and attending pre bid meetingsjob walksUse software for data analysis forecasting and budgetingObtain and review offers quotes by subcontractors vendorsPerform risk analysisCreate submit estimate reports bids project managers clients bidding competitions etcMust adhere original estimate billtrack progressAble accurately bill vendors based estimate timelineEffectively communicate explain all estimate changesBuild relationships with key vendors subcontractors suppliers engineersMaintain open line communication with operations & project management ensure understanding adherence to estimateCalculating take offs for estimate preparationProvide consultation planning schedules manpower needs etc
