Description
Universal Avionics (UA) is seeking talented individuals to join our safety-critical avionics software test team.Come join our highly engaged and collaborative team of engineers who are leading the future of aviation to ensure easier management and safety & reliability of all phases of flight As part of the software test team, the Software Verification Engineers work closely with other engineering teams to develop and execute requirements-based test procedures and scripts, perform code coverage analysis, and prepare test reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering, computer science or math field. Three or more years of test engineering related work experience can be substituted for education qualification.
Fluency in one or more programming languages, preferably C, C++, or C#.
Understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, logic, sets and number systems.
Capability to troubleshoot problems logically and systematically.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers, computer operating systems, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to write professional correspondence and effectively communicate information to other employees in English.
Preferred Skills:
Previous avionics software test experience (DO-178).
Previous automated test experience.
Previous experience performing structural code coverage analysis.
Previous software development experience including object-oriented designs.
Previous experience with version control systems (e.g., git, subversion).
