Job Description :

We are seeking a proactive and proficient individual to join our team in facilitating the seamless operation and advancement of Vital Records systems within the framework of contemporary data modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities :

Facilitate and ensure the effective implementation and operation of interoperable features within Vital Records systems as part of ongoing data modernization initiatives.

Collaborate with the Office of Health Information Technology and the current vendor, Axiell, Inc., to foster FIHR-compliant interoperability across various sectors including healthcare, funeral homes, Medical Examiners, Coroners, and electronic health record vendors.

Assist in the development and upkeep of optimized Vital Records business processes and the seamless transfer of data to both state and federal partners.

Coordinate technical support activities for both existing and newly introduced applications and systems within the Vital Records domain, liaising with the Office of Health Information Technology and vendor service center personnel.

Offer assistance to the Vital Records Director in endeavors related to data modernization and interoperability projects.

Required Skills:
Proven track record in overseeing all operational facets (planning, organizing, budgeting, etc.) of complex data management and modernization projects.
Proficiency in interface functionality and compliance standards such as FIHR.

Effective communication skills to engage with colleagues involved in the collection, management, and development of agency data resources, driving forward the agency's data modernization objectives.

Experience adhering to national data and IT security standards applicable to the handling and safeguarding of protected health information.
Familiarity with data management, visualization, and analysis tools essential for organizing, leveraging, and sharing various data formats.
Previous experience collaborating with diverse vendors offering modern data management and analysis software, systems, and applications.

Nice to Have:

Prior experience in collaborating with governmental entities on data and IT-related projects, particularly in relation to procurement and purchasing requirements.

Exposure to Vital Records and/or Electronic Health Record data management is advantageous.
