- Cloud Solution Design:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives, translating them into scalable and secure cloud architectures.
- Design Azure solutions that meet performance, availability, scalability, and security requirements, leveraging a wide range of Azure services and technologies.
- Develop architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications to communicate cloud architectures to stakeholders.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Implementation:
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines to automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources.
- Define and manage Azure resource configurations, including virtual networks, compute instances, storage, databases, and security policies, using declarative templates.
- Cloud Migration and Hybrid Integration:
- Lead the migration of on-premises workloads and applications to the Azure cloud, following best practices for lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecting as necessary.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure services, ensuring connectivity, data synchronization, and security.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security controls and best practices to protect Azure resources and data, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security risks in Azure environments.
- Performance Optimization and Cost Management:
- Monitor Azure resource utilization, performance metrics, and cost patterns to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Implement performance tuning techniques, such as scaling, caching, and load balancing, to optimize the performance and efficiency of Azure solutions.
- Disaster Recovery and High Availability:
- Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) solutions for Azure workloads, including backup, replication, failover, and recovery procedures.
- Test and validate DR and HA configurations to ensure readiness and resilience in the event of outages or disasters.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security teams, to ensure alignment and integration of cloud solutions with organizational goals and requirements.
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members through documentation, training sessions, and workshops to promote continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.
- Proven experience as a cloud architect or similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Deep understanding of Azure services, architecture patterns, and best practices for cloud-native design and development.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and techniques, such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance requirements, and data protection mechanisms in Azure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
