    Description
    Coral Desert Rehabilitation looking for a highly competent, highly experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to join our team.
    Purpose: Provide the highest quality of care in a manner that protects and promotes resident rights, dignity, and health.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Leads daily operations for the nursing department.
    • Sets and tracks departmental goals and objectives.
    • Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures.
    • Supervises, trains, and evaluates nursing staff.
    • Hires and onboards new nurses.
    • Sets the nursing schedule.
    • Provides direct patient care when necessary.
    • Investigates patient complaints.
    • Collaborates with doctors and executives.
    • Oversees the department's budget.
    • Maintains a stocked inventory.
    • Designs and manages continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
    • Ensures that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are followed.
    • Uses popular software, including medical database, research, diagnosis, billing, scheduling, and telemedicine software.
    • Collaborates with physicians and administrators across departments and seniority levels.
    Requirements and Qualifications:
    • RN with required state licensure.
    • Ability to organize workflow, respond to emergencies and note detail.
    • Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities.
    • Ability to comply with Company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
    • Ability to read and write the English language.
    • Experience in post-acute and/or long term geriatric nursing care.
    • Experience in supervision.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
    • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
    • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training.
    Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
    • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
    • Must be able to endure bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
    • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
    • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
    • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

    Environmental Conditions: Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to blood-born pathogens.
