    Job Description:

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.

    The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

    The ideal candidate will have a current and valid state RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 30 days, and Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days.

    They will also have at least one year of experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in an Emergency Room setting. A Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree are preferred.

    The facility may require additional certifications, such as MICN within 12 months, EDAP completion of emergency pediatric courses 1 and 2 within 6 months, NRP certificate within 90 days, and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months.

    Qualifications:

    • Current and valid state RN License
    • BLS certification upon hire and maintain current
    • ACLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
    • PALS or ENPC certification within 30 days and maintain current
    • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days
    • At least one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred
    • CEN certification preferred
    • BSN degree preferred
