    After School Site Coordinator
    Reports to: Director of Expanded Learning
    Please note: This position has a schedule of Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm. Please only apply if these hours work for your schedule for an entire school year.
    About Us
    Equitas Academy Charter School was founded in 2009. We are a network of free public schools for families who believe their children deserve a high-quality education and challenging school experience. Our school model offers credentialed, passionate, and dedicated teachers and staff who are experts in their field. We currently serve over 1,000 students in Kinder-8th grade in two elementary schools and one middle school and will open up our second middle school in August of 2017. Equitas Academy is based in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. We value:

    Our Mission & Success
    To provide a structured, achievement-based community that prepares students (scholars) to graduate from college-preparatory high schools, four-year colleges, and universities. Our school has been recognized as a California Distinguished School and Gold Ribbon School by the California Department of Education because of our commitment to data driven instruction to provide a rigorous and equitable education for all students.
    Postion:
    Under the supervision of the Director of Expanded Learning, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the after school program. Responsibilities will include supervision of all program staff, program activities, educational, recreational, counseling, and sports.
    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Supervises and evaluates all After School Program Leaders at the individual site.

    • Participates in interviews, selection, assignment, and orientation of program staff.

    • Assigns and monitors program leader tasks.

    • Meets with staff on a regular basis, including one on one check-ins and group meetings.

    • Assists the Director of Expanded Learning to ensure that all government contract and ASES standards are met at all times.

    • Develops and supervises staff activities, including staff development and training.

    • Works with the Director of Expanded Learning to ensure the implementation of an enriched curriculum.

    • Acts as program liaison to schools, law enforcement, and other community agencies.

    • Monitors and requests adequate instructional supplies for the program.

    • Ensures that staff turn in lesson plans and other paperwork in a timely manner.

    • Reports regularly to the Director of Expanded Learning with issues of concern that need immediate attention.

    • Nurtures respectful relationships with scholars, staff and families

    • May perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Expanded Learning
    Salary:
    Salaried, year round position with benefits.

    Qualifications:
    • AA degree or 60 semester units completed with at least 24 units in Child Development, Human Services, Recreation or related field, plus 3 units in Administration; BA preferred
    • Two years experience working with youth and families required. Experience supervising after-school programs.
    • Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    • Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment.
