    Description

    Currently seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal for a well-established law firm located in *Columbia, SC* at their office in Lexington.

    The candidate needs to have at least 3 to 5 years of recent workers' compensation experience in a law firm.

    The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and handle confidential cases and who is eager to learn and grow within this firm.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
    • 3 to 5 years of workers' compensation experience required in a law firm
    • Previous experience in personal injury and auto accidents is helpful but not required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and other case management software
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    Job Responsibilities:
    * \*MUST HAVE E-FILING EXPERIENCE\

    • Meet with new and current clients in local office/over the phone.
    • Manage cases from intake through disbursement.
    • Organize and maintain documents in an electronic filing system.
    • Keep track of and adhere to filing deadlines.
    • Gather and arrange evidence including medical records and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
    • Draft correspondence and legal documents
    • Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, physicians' offices, and outside vendors to schedule interviews and meetings for attorney.
    • Administrative duties that include entering client notes, drafting letters and other case specific documents, summarizing medical records, etc.

    $40, $60,000.00 per year
