    Description

    Position: Patient Access Representative



    Schedule:
    - Flex Full-time
    - Day shift with rotation, weekends, and holidays

    About the Company:
    AFSCME - Union is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Patient Access Representative. This role plays a crucial part in the revenue cycle by coordinating patient access from scheduling to referral and denial management.

    Responsibilities:
    - Coordinate patient access for all phases of the revenue cycle
    - Work as a team member and embrace changes within the Hospital environment
    - Complete inpatient and outpatient registration and insurance eligibility processes
    - Provide the first impression of the Hospital's services to patients and external customers
    - Interview patients to obtain necessary information for scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
    - Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, and external professionals to ensure patients receive necessary healthcare services

    Requirements:
    - High School Diploma or GED required
    - Two years of healthcare experience or one year in a medical/billing/fiscal setting preferred
    - Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    - Act 34 certification
