The Ohio Substitute Teacher Services (OSTS) offers substitute teachers the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings throughout Ohio. As a substitute teacher, you will play an important role in a student's education and assist in placing substitute teachers in vacant positions to facilitate a student's education in the absence of their teacher.Responsibilities
- Follows lesson plans: Substitute teachers are responsible for following the lesson plans provided by the absent classroom teacher to ensure continuity of education.
- Maintains a neat and orderly classroom: Creating an organized and welcoming classroom environment is essential for a productive learning atmosphere.
- Ensures student supervision: Substitute teachers must never leave students unattended in the classroom to maintain their safety.
