    Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 firm, and the leading global business immigration services firm, is seeking a Human Resources Manager for the firm's Washington DC Office. Reporting to a regional Sr. HR Director, the Human Resources Manager will provide lead HR support for our Washington DC team, including support for Partners, Associates, and staff.

    This role will require strong business acumen, HR and Employee Relations experience, and the ability to help create and foster a positive work culture and environment. As a HR Manager at Fragomen, you will be part of a global HR team that is a valued part of our business.

    How will you make a difference as a Human Resources Manager at Fragomen?
    • Manage all facets of day-to-day Human Resources support including employee relations, compensation and performance management, leaves, and developing and contributing to strategic activities and initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with and manage expectations of stakeholders, including Partners, leaders, people managers, and employees.
    • Serve as a knowledgeable and consultative advisor to local Partners and managers in addressing all HR matters.
    • Mitigate risk by resolving employee relations and conflict issues escalating situations to the Senior HR Director and Office of General Counsel, as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with HR functional areas to ensure delivery of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, DE&I, and other key HR initiatives.
    • Proactively gather, analyze, and share data and recommendations with stakeholders to contribute to strategic decision making.
    • Conduct and organize training, manage any local or regional required professional development, proactively identify training needs and leverage the global Talent Development team to provide appropriate training solutions.
    • Work with HR Shared Services to manage the complete process of onboarding and offboarding employees, ensuring a positive employee experience.
    • Facilitate the identification of training needs as well as the delivery and tracking of job-specific and supervisory training leveraging the Talent Management team as appropriate.
    • Accurately maintain data integrity in HRIS (Workday) and other systems as needed.
    • Manage performance review and the annual compensation processes for the Washington DC Office.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on local employment rules and practices.
    • Provide ad hoc reports and other duties as needed.
    Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree and/or SPHR, SHRM S-CP certification is a plus.
    • 8 or more years of relevant Human Resources experience from legal, consulting or accounting environments. Experience having operated in a true HR Manager/HRBP role is highly preferred.
    • Strong experience including recruitment oversight, new hire onboarding processes, coaching managers and employees, overseeing employee engagement, performance and retention efforts.
    • Both strategic and operational execution for all Human Resources functions.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State specific employment laws including FMLA, FLSA, State STD plans, Americans with Disabilities Act, etc.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with executive level management.
    • Entrepreneurial within their role, pragmatic with a "can-do" attitude. These characteristics should be combined with excellent skills in analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking.
    • Experience working in a HR role in a large global environment is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and HR systems. Experience with Workday HCM is preferred.
    • Well-developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills together with good persuasion and influencing skills. The incumbent must be able to interact effectively with internal clients, external stakeholders and international colleagues on all levels of the organization.
