    What you will be doing


    As a Senior Compensation Business Partner at Albertsons, you will provide professional level compensation support for our global compensation processes and programs.

    This role will partner with other members of the compensation team to effectively execute strategic initiatives so that Albertsons can attract, motivate and reward our talent.

    This will include managing our survey strategy and planning, data analysis for market review, and data support for all compensation processes and projects.


    The position will be based at one of our 13 corporate locations such as Dallas, TX; Pleasanton, CA; Boise, ID; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL and others.

    Main responsibilities


    • Partner with HRBPs to influence business leaders with data on compensation strategy, job architecture and programs
    • Develop and provide guidance to client groups on solutions to a wide variety of compensation matters: job offers, market adjustments, promotions, retentions, etc.
    • Evaluates and analyzes market data and research to determine competitive positioning of our salary ranges and pay programs. Utilizes analytical insights to develop and present meaningful recommendations. Supports complex research and analysis associated with special compensation programs or projects. Prepares special market analysis as requested.
    • Contribute to the development of enterprise pay policies, processes, guidelines, and standards to effectively support business objectives and appropriately balance risk.
    • Monitor compensation market trends to ensure market competitiveness
    • Drive the annual compensation and quarterly bonus cycles from start to finish for your clients
    • Manage or contribute to special projects as needed.
    • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and all levels of leadership to resolve issues and achieve goals.
    The salary range is $95,000 to $115,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

    Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).

    Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

    We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:


    • BA/BS degree, preferably with emphasis in HR, Accounting, Finance or General Business
    * - 5 years of Compensation experience

    • Experience working with compensation surveys and survey vendors
    • Strong experience working with HR Data & Systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud, etc.)
    • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to gather, analyze and organize data
    • Ability to analyze data to make effective decisions
    • Technical aptitude & curiosity to learn new tools
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions (e.g., HR, Data, HRIS)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strategic thinker that can effectively present ideas to all levels of the organization
