Job Title: CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist

Location: Avon Lake, Ohio

Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist to join our team in Avon Lake, Ohio. In this role, you will be in charge of setting up and running CNC Haas lathe and mill machines efficiently to carry out various machining and cutting operations on different materials, such as steels and alloys. The tasks involve a limited range of production with tight tolerances, although not typically complex setups.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Haas lathe and mill machines efficiently with minimal time.
• Carry out multiple machining and cutting operations on various materials, including steels and alloys, using both lathe and mill machines.
• Position preset tooling in the machines and adjust non-preset tools following the machine manufacturer's manual.
• Insert the program into the machines and perform initial checks on the first piece, 10% in between, and the final piece.
• Adjust tools to ensure print dimensions are maintained and present the completed task for inspection approval.
• Read prints and programs, and modify basic instructions like speeds, feeds, depth of cut, chamfers, etc.
• Adhere to safety procedures and policies all the time to guarantee a safe work environment for yourself and your team.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in setting up and running CNC Haas lathe and mill machines.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and perform multiple machining and cutting operations.
• Familiarity with various materials, including steels and alloys.
• Proficiency in reading prints and programs and adjusting basic instructions.
• Attention to detail and capability to maintain print dimensions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
