    We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Network Automation Engineer:
    Under the supervision of the Sr.

    Director of Network Engineering, the Network Automation Engineer will be:


    • Required to perform duties of a subject matter expert in network automation, systems administration, and tools management.
    • Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network management systems consisting of commercial, open-source, and in-house developed tools.
    • Responsible to contribute to the engineering, testing, and deployment of multiple projects and initiatives.
    • Responsible for participating in the planning, implementation, maintenance, and operations of the company's cloud and on-premises network infrastructure and services.
    • Required to provide operational network support, incident response, and troubleshooting.

    Develop/design network management systems and integrations that collect and analyze network performance data, manage network configurations, collect NetFlow and firewall syslog data, and process network fault alerts.

    Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in LAN/WAN and public cloud network infrastructures.

    Ability to work with multiple application owners to identify bottlenecks or other network performance issues; this includes an ability to understand, identify, and escalate chronic issues causing inefficient operations and impact.

    Lead collaboration with other team members and other teams to ensure technology solution and staff are in line with customer expectations and overall technology vision and goals.

    Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.

    Participate in periodic Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Sarbanes OxleyEvaluate industry trends, standards, and new technologies to proactively recommend and implement changes.

    Development and presentation of technology analytics, documentation, and presentation materials.
    Manage vendor support and account relationships.
    Provide backup coverage for more senior management, occasionally as needed.
    Mentor junior staff in skill development.

    Strong experience with programming/scripting languages are highly valued to support initiatives and responsibilities related to task automation, systems integrations, data analysis, and visualizations.

    Expert in the use of Python to develop tools, APIs, and Web development (e.g., Experience with PHP, Perl, and SQL query writing.
    Familiar with MySQL, Ruby, MariaDB, Apache Web server.
    Experience with Unix/Linux system administration (e.g.

    , Ubuntu and AWS Linux):
    bash scripting, OS configuration and administration.
    Experience and knowledge of SNMP protocol and SevOne or other open-source SNMP, Syslog, and Ping monitoring tools (e.g., Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud platforms to include, server containerization technologies (e.g., Experience and knowledge with DNS protocols including the use of BIND and the Infoblox DDI platform.
    Experience in managing and administering enterprise change management process and procedures.

    Familiar with IP address management and DHCP operations (e.g., Infoblox DDI platform).Excellent analytical skills, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential.

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent with five (5) years of related experience in engineering or related technical discipline.

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with seven (7) years of related experience in engineering or related technical discipline.

    Past senior level systems administrator experience in a production data center environment.

    In-depth understanding of common network security issues and industry security best practicesHands-on experience with enterprise grade network design and management.

    Solid hands-on experience with various networks, monitoring software, remote assistant tools, firewalls (OS level command line and GUI interface), and operating system switchesFamiliar with various network management/troubleshooting tools.

    Proficiency with multiple operating systemsStrong knowledge and experience in various scripting languages.
    Excellent planning skills.
    Extended hours and weekend work may be required as this is a 24x7 operations environment.
    Occasional travel may be required.
