    CDS Logistics is seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as an IT Systems Support Specialist in the Corporate Headquarters located in Baltimore, MD. As an IT Systems Support Specialist with CDS Logistics you will ensure the smooth operation of the company's IT systems by providing technical assistance to both internal and external users, managing assets related to barcode scanning and printing, assisting with software implementations, and offering end-user training and support. The critical path for this role includes providing comprehensive support for IT systems, managing software implementations, overseeing asset management, assisting with training development, offering user support, and ensuring system security, all contributing to the smooth functioning of the company's IT infrastructure and operational success. These tasks collectively ensure the effective management and support of the company's IT infrastructure, contributing to its overall operational success. The primary goal of an IT system support specialist is to uphold the seamless functioning of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruptions, maximal productivity, and alignment with overarching business objectives and to ensure we are driving business results to meet our organizational objectives, mission, vision, and values always ensuring operational excellence.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provide support for CDS' bar-coding software (PC and Handheld) and hardware (scanners and label printers) for our network
    • Provide end-user training for CDS' bar-coding software/hardware
    • Manage implementations of various software systems
    • Barcode Scanner/Printer Asset Management; which includes, but is not limited to: manage returns and shipments of scanners, tracking shipments, update scanner inventory system, etc.
    • Help Senior Support Staff develop training guides and Learning Management System courses.
    • Assist end users with level I support tickets; which includes, but is not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook) issues and questions, copier/fax machine issues, multi-line phone system issues, and additional varied client requests.
    • Install & Configure Virtual Private Network (VPN) software on external user's computers.
    • Configure communication/mobile devices (ex. phones, iPads).
    • Research and identify issues and process failures for daily customer ASN and EDI, automated data transmittals.
    • Completion of daily reports and tasks.
    • Some Travel for end-user training may be required.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of an AA degree in computer-related field.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and listening.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to take and apply constructive criticism.
    • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple streams of information.
    • Analytical and resourceful hands-on problem solver
    • Experience using MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Must work well in a team environment and also work on solo projects
    • Must be available for occasional overtime or weekend hours

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong MS Excel Skills: VLookup function, IF function, filtering and creation of Pivot Tables
    • Certification in one of the following areas; Microsoft, A+, Network +
    • Experience Supporting Android Devices

    Work Environment

    This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, telephones. This position also operates near a warehouse environment, however only trained personally are permitted to access the warehouse environment while observing all safety procedures.
