    Jamestown, KY 42629 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking an experienced and motivated team leader with a passion fordelivering exceptional guest service as our new Cook II for the Rowena Landing Restaurant at the LakeCumberland State Resort Park, located on the beautiful 60-thousand plus acre Lake Cumberland. This Resort Parkis one of the premier lodging and dining facilities in the area. For decades, we have been serving our guestsin our 200-seat restaurant with panoramic views of Lake Cumberland. In addition to back-of-house operations,you will work closely with the front of the house operations, group sales, and other departments to providedelivery of exceptional guest services and catering for multiple groups, events, and banquets in variouslocations around the Park throughout the year.     Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, trains, and supervises Kitchen Personnel under the direction of the Chef III.
  • Plans, participates, implements, and manages food product consistency under the direction of the ChefIII.
  • Assists in menu development under the direction of the Chef III.
  • Inventories, purchases, and reports budget under the direction of the Chef III.
  • Enforces departmental rules, regulations, and policies under the direction of the Chef III.

  • Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: NONE
    EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.
    Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food services will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
