- Mass Spectrometer Leak Testing Technicians, and Trainees for Mass Spectrometer Leak Testing Technician.
- Liquid Dye Penetrant (PT) Weld Inspection Technicians, and Technician Trainees.
- Visual Weld Inspection (VT) Technicians and Certified Welding Inspectors.
- Ability to process the skills and knowledge to set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests and interpret, evaluate, and document results, in accordance with written techniques and procedures.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Level II Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitation of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assistants, Level I Technicians. Level II Technicians organize and report the results of the NDT test performed.
- Responsible for all paperwork to be turned in, in a timely manner.
- Capability to clamp and fixture parts, operate systems, evaluate data, characterize indication, and record results.
- Extensive travel will be required
- Qualification for access to commercial nuclear facilities is required
- Frequent drug and fitness for duty testing are required
- Some assignments include work in military or weapons-related programs
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass credit and background checks
- Must be able to pass drug & alcohol screening/random tests
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years or more of post-secondary
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mechanical aptitude
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
