    As the Performance Engineer will serve in an important role providing leadership and expertise in the manufacture of industrial paints and coatings You will work throughout the site in paint processing, pigment dispersion, and production test methodologies that move the continuous improvement of product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Also, you will be a member of a broad team tasked with leading the plant to exceed Goals, such as safety performance, material utilization improvements, and cost per unit.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide expertise for introducing new products and processes into manufacturing to improve and cost savings.
    • Work as a project manager on capital expenditure initiatives that promote growth, cost savings, MOB and EHS initiatives.
    • Identify options for improving product quality and production efficiency and define/implement projects to address opportunities.
    • Coordinate root cause analysis on processes and equipment that are performing abnormally and implement actions to resolve.
    • Identify and work with teams on opportunities for process improvements and optimization (yield, usage, and productivity improvement).
    • Provide leadership and engineering expertise regarding process flow & design, equipment selection, preventative maintenance, and operations in a batch chemical manufacturing environment.
    • Lead PHA's, manage MOC's, and ensure OSHA PSM compliance and policies remain in good standing.
    Qualifications
    • B.S. in Engineering is required
    • At least two (2) years of process engineering and/or production experience required.
    • Project management experience.
    • Lean and Six Sigma experience.
    • Experience with batch manufacturing.
    • OSHA Process Safety Management experience.
    • Paint Manufacturing or Pigment Dispersion Science; related process knowledge will also be considered.
