    BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn is NYC's longest-running, free performance festival, and a beloved summer tradition featuring approximately 25 varied large-scale performances and attracting upwards of 200,000 people each summer to the Prospect Park Bandshell.

    About the Role:

    BRIC seeks a seasonal Operations Intern to assist with the day-to-day operations of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park, with a focus on Front of House. The role will act as a general intern/assistant, working under the direction of the Operations Manager, to undertake a range of tasks that are required to ensure a successful season of performances.

    What You'll Do in the Role:

    This role will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Operations Manager:

    • Run various errands, such as picking up office supplies, packages or equipment.
    • Perform basic office tasks such as copying and printing.
    • Keep track of inventory and order office supplies, cleaning supplies, and wristbands as needed.
    • Assist with distribution and collection of walkie talkies to third-party security guards and EMTs.
    • Collect and track audience lost and found items.
    • Assist with various front of house needs such as line management, merch distribution and communication with vendors.
    • Assist with administrative tasks that support Front of House Operations.
    • Assist with daily pass sheet creation and distribution.
    • Assist with distribution of all staff credentials and staff t-shirts.
    • Assist the Community Care Manager with ADA seating and audience water distribution when needed.
    • Support Operations Manager and FOH Manager with other tasks as assigned.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
    • Ability to be on one's feet and walk festival grounds and nearby vicinity.
    • Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather.

    • Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $16.00, or college credit
    • Status and location: This is a part-time, non-exempt role based at the Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park. The Festival Operations Intern is expected to be available and on site for all performances between June 8 - August 24 in addition to training days in late May.
