Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Safety Supervisor to lead safety initiatives across construction sites and ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards. In this vital role, you will oversee safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety excellence. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to construction activities, occupational health, and environmental safety.
- Lead safety training sessions for construction personnel, ensuring understanding of safety procedures, emergency response plans, and compliance requirements.
- Manage incident investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee risk management strategies by assessing project-specific hazards and implementing mitigation measures effectively.
- Ensure adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and other relevant codes during all phases of construction.
- Maintain accurate records using construction management software for compliance management, workers' compensation claims, and safety audits.
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a safety role, particuraly in civil construction.
- Candidate must have OSHA 30.
- Be first aid and CPR certified.
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, hazard identification, and mitigation techniques within construction environments.
- Knowledge of NEC standards, workers' compensation processes, and compliance management practices.
- Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) principles and construction management software tools.
- Excellent communication skills to lead safety meetings, train staff, and coordinate with project teams effectively.
- Ability to conduct thorough site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations confidently.
