    Job Description
    We are seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant Clinical Instructor to join our dynamic team.

    Our new CNA program requires per diem instructors with no prior teaching experience necessary. We offer flexible scheduling options, allowing you to work 1, 2, 3, or 5 days a week. Multiple locations are available including South San Francisco, Concord, Covina, Hayward, Fremont, San Jose, and others.

    Mileage reimbursement provided for instructors traveling to multiple sites. This position covers a 6-week cohort, including a once-a-week skills lab for the first 4 weeks and clinicals in weeks 4, 5, and 6. There is also an opportunity to become a state-certified tester through D&S Headmaster. Students' tuition is fully covered by Leading Age of California's Gateway In Project Grant. Join us in driving change in California by contributing to healthcare education.

    • Participate in a 3-year grant initiative to expand Nursing Assistants in California
    • Help transform underserved communities and student populations by offering training, support services, and career incentives, addressing the ongoing workforce shortage in healthcare.
    • Engage in skills lab and clinical rotations at various times and locations to meet program needs
    • Ensure students are well-prepared for practice and meet state certification requirements by the end of the program
    • Strive for instructional excellence by incorporating innovative teaching methods and techniques
    • Facilitate student development by providing continuous feedback and support
    • Maintain accurate student records and compliance with clinical requirements
    • Participate in professional development activities and stay current with industry updates and regulations
    • Collaborate with program staff to monitor student progress and program quality
    • Utilize technology to enhance teaching effectiveness
    • Contribute to a positive learning environment and student success

    Pay Range: $40-$45/hr DOE

    Qualifications
    • Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including caring for chronically ill or elderly patients in various healthcare settings
    • Demonstrated expertise in nursing practices, mentoring students, and managing day-to-day nursing assistant lab operations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
    • Valid immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
    • Completion of State Board training if required
