    Description


    The machinist is responsible for effective and efficient operation of EDM, CNC and other machines on a continuous basis including identification and resolution of issues to maintain production output requirements of the business unit.

    ResponsibilitiesSet Up and operates EDM/CNC machines and other related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
    Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
    Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
    Inspects work as required for all dimensional features as required.
    Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
    Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
    Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
    Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
    Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.

    Taking a proactive approach to solving process or system related problems and coordinating with other team members/departments when necessary for resolution of problemsComply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.

    May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual's skills.

    Requirements Must be a "US Person", in accordance with US Government definitions.
