Sceye is a high-growth technology company building the next generation of instant communications imaging and remote sensing infrastructure through stratospheric platforms They can carry multiple telecommunications imaging and remote sensing payloads providing unique functionality cost environmental and societal advantages Our HAPS are deployed in a matter of days and at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure solutions This makes them an ideal solution for providing telecommunications connectivity emergency solutions in the event of natural or other disasters environmental and infrastructure monitoring Earth observation and defense applications Our customers partners include some of the largest global telecommunications companies infrastructure operators climate researchers civil and defense agencies At Sceye we aim high and want you to join us at the stratospheric edge of innovation As part of our mission-driven team you ll contribute to building breakthrough technologies that are changing the way we connect observe world The Lead Payload Systems Engineer will serve as technical authority systems integration lead for all payload systems onboard High-Altitude Platform HAPS This role is responsible for end-to-end payload lifecycle from requirements definition interface design through integration test flight readiness The ideal candidate combines strong systems engineering fundamentals with hands on experience integrating multi-sensor or communications payloads into complex flight systems Lead Payload Systems Engineer will lead Sceyes payload operations overseeing design integration testing deployment mission payloads across multiple programs You will be responsible entire payload lifecycle from concept development through flight operations data delivery Ideal candidate brings both system level thinking hands on technical expertise aerospace payloads instrumentation remote sensing systems What You ll Do
- Payload System Ownership
- Lead technical integration all payloads e g EO telecom hyperspectral LiDAR radar custom sensor systems into flight platform Define maintain pay load to platform interface requirements mechanical electrical data thermal RF Ensure pay load design meets platform level performance safety mission requirements li Integration Verification
- Develop execute pay load integration verification validation plans lab ground flight environments Coordinate pay load integration testing mechanical fit checks EMI EMC thermal vacuum vibration functional performance Lead troubleshooting anomaly resolution root cause analysis during integration fight test campaigns li Cross Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering Avionics Flight Operations Mission Planning teams ensure seamless pay load integrated Act primary technical interface with pay vendors ensuring timely delivery compliance interface control documents ICDs Drive design reviews PDR CDR TRR for pay subsystems contribute platform level reviews li Documentation Compliance
- Own maintain p loads related documentation ICDs configuration management test reports Ensure p loads meet applicable aerospace standards regulatory requirements FCC FAA ITAREAR etc Support creation fight readines documentatiomission assurance reviews li Innovation Continuous Improvement
- Identify implement desing process improvements enhance p loaid integratoin efficiency reduce mass power budgets increase reliability Contribute system leve architecture studies future p loaid capabilities missions
