    The Service Coordinator occupies an important position in the execution of Service projects and activities related to Marine Service and Digital, Process Automation Marine & Ports (PAMP) in Miramar, Florida.

    You will be coordinating and planning the provision of necessary resources, spare parts and logistics for on site service jobs, ensuring that the process is seamless, from quotation to invoicing and cash collection.

    You will be responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of the service group activities to exceed the customers delivery expectations, to ensure that the company is represented professionally, ethically, with high code of conduct and to achieve the financial and commercial targets of the company.

    This position reports to Operations Manager, Marine ServicesYour responsibilities Single point for customer during Service Jobs execution:
    Builds and maintains sustainable relationship with customer. Manages customer requirements and customer enquiries.

    Ensures continuous communicationCoordinates, plans, schedules and oversees all Service jobs with necessary resources, spare parts and logistics for siteManages customer satisfaction by ensuring that ABB fulfils its contractual obligations and business requirements.

    Ensures the required quality is delivered and the health, safety and environmental issues are competently managed.

    Reviews the scope of the work and ensures that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations, particularly regarding claims and changesManages the Service order process in a timely manner from quotation to invoicing and cash collectionManages all required reporting and documentation.

    Ensures all necessary data has been registered in a timely manner in the system including service reportsCooperates and coordinates activities with other ABB units and teams to harmonize Service activities and to maximize Service sales at every opportunity.

    Ensures the transfer of Service findings to the product/system Local Business Units for improvement of their offeringsSupports customers with high level interface and close working relations, providing consultancy and advice to maintain the product in accordance with manufacturers instructionsAct as Companys representative working to the companys code of conduct, safety rules and in an ethical manner to expand business activities and strives to satisfy and exceed customers needs and expectationsAll quality aspects and discipline for job execution, through standard presentation of components following service/repair, including final in house job inspection to documentation, that is, quotations, invoice document preparation, service engineer expense and time sheet approval, timely service report completion, emails etc.

    within company guidelines/regulationsAll aspects of commercial documentation and communication, with an understanding of financial and legal aspects of contracting with the customers and suppliersEnsure that all work is in accordance with the quality and safety procedures, company regulations, meets our legal and commercial requirements, delivering the financial controls and margins needed to achieve the companys targetsEnsure that communication within the service group is conducted in a respectful manner, whilst being firm, direct and clear to ensure that the group develops and strengthens as a teamReviews and evaluates shop and service reports, suggest and implement corrective actions where necessaryYour background High School Diploma or GED and minimum 8 years marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experience ORAssociate degree and minimum 4 years marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experience ORBachelors degree and minimum 2 years marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experienceTechnical background with Engineering degree preferred3 years experience in Service business related to Marine industry or Electrical Engineering3 years experience in SAP tracking service orders, purchase orders and working timeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to negotiate, persuade and influence in relation with our customers and shipyardsExcellent presentation design and delivery skills as well as ability to drive programs, manage service jobs and review technically complex service reportsExperience with the cruise industry and/or oil and gas offshore industryHigh awareness of safety and quality in relation to the projects in the fieldExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits Retirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceWellbeing programHealthcare planMore about us ABB Marine & Ports supplies world-leading technologies that are driving the evolution of sustainable shipping.
