    Job DescriptionRole of Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.

    Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities
    • Read and understand tool design drawings and specifications, manuals, and other technical equipment and pipeline information.
    • Prepare, build, and test ILI tools to the tool design specifications and functionality requirements.
    • Clean, repair, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform any other tool preparation operations as may be required.
    • Prepare ILI tools and other equipment including launching and receiving equipment, lifting equipment, AGM boxes, DGPS survey equipment, magnets, spares, toolbox, and all other required tools for use in the field.
    • Mobilize and demobilize the equipment to/from the client's worksite safely and efficiently.
    • Study and analyze project information documents, operation manuals, pigging procedures, and other project-related documents to understand project requirements and to ensure safe execution and first run success.
    • Coordinate as needed with PIPECARE operations, applications engineering and data analysis teams, subcontractors, clients, and other involved parties to ensure safe and successful project execution.
    • Establish professional relationships with client's field personnel creating customer partnerships.
    • Execute fieldwork in a professional, safe, effective, and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource and financial planning.
    • Perform on-site pre-inspection tool function testing, and post-inspection data download, assessment, and reporting.
    • Execute onsite data handling procedures to allow an efficient and timely transfer of data to Data Analysis department.
    • Conduct site survey and DGPS survey in accordance with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement
    • Prepare, complete and submit daily and field reports, checklists, QC, express and other required reports.
