    DISHER is currently partnered with a manufacturer of innovative seating solutions company that is looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team.

    This company makes seats for Mass Transit, Light Rail, Motorcoach, and Securement. If you have ever ridden a bus, sat at a desk, enjoyed a performance, or been to a ballpark, you have sat on one of their products


    In this role, you will guide and direct manufacturing engineering staff to provide dependable processes and equipment to the manufacturing organization.

    You will drive improvement in machine up-time, production efficiency, and overall plant productivity through improvement and automation opportunities.

    What you'll do:
    Maintain a focus of Continuous Improvement
    Improve manufacturing processes to drive optimal efficiency performance
    Monitor and improve the machine up-time on all major pieces of equipment
    Coordinate manufacturing engineering department workload within the department and with expectations of those outside the department
    Assist with Safety and Environmental compliance for the production facility
    Propose and manage all capital expenditures for the production facility
    Drive accountability and ownership of plant Safety, Quality, and Efficiency performance and goals
    Ensure that all production equipment has optimized CN programs to efficiently
    produce the required product
    Manages staff priorities. Selects, hires, and trains employees. Recommends salary increases and conducts performance reviews
    Solves problems with departmental and internal customers
    Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department
    Writes reports, general correspondence, and employee appraisals

    Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including metal fabrication, vacuum forming, robotics, and assembly
    Strong supervisory and leadership skills
    Proven track record of automation and labor optimization
    Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required
