    Associate Engineer, LogisticsThe primary focus for this role is to provide support for the PBF Logistics Engineering and Operations groups, assisting them in meeting critical business goals and objectives pertaining to Logistics assets such as pipelines, tanks, pump stations, and marketing/marine terminals.

    This role involves working under the guidance of an experienced engineer to provide engineering support to maintain reliable operations of pipelines, facilities, and terminals, including management of field-based projects to promote asset reliability.


    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
    Manage capital and expense projects from inception to completion.

    Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and scopes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards, through all phases from project budget and development, through construction, commissioning, and completion.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide general technical guidance to operating personnel to help resolve emergent field issues and optimize operations.

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide timely and clear communication regarding project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

    Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation, including records, drawings, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout project lifecycle.

    Work closely with experienced engineers to analyze and resolve technical issues, optimizing operational processes and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

    Support field operations by assisting in the planning and execution of maintenance activities, contributing to the overall reliability of pipelines, facilities, and terminals.

    Participate in the management of change process by evaluating technical aspects of proposed operational changes and determining potential impacts to reliability, safety, health, and the environment.

    Coordination with field inspectors, mechanical contractors, equipment/ material providers, and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) contractors to request proposals, schedule work, and promote QA/QC and safety.

    Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of industry recommended practices, regulatory requirements, and applicable internal best practices, to support engineering and operational objectives and compliance.


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
    0 to 5 years industry experience (will consider a strong candidate directly from campus)
    Proven track record and experience of planning and executing the full life cycle of a project – specific examples of involvement in projects will be required

    Strong leadership, interpersonal, networking, and teamwork skills for data gathering, building consensus in teams for problem solving, developing a client base and working well with people in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment at all levels of the organization, as well as external resources.

    Willingness to work in both field and office setting
    Ability and willingness to travel as required for project assignments and professional development opportunities (est. 10%) and be self-motivated
    Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet calculations, and presentation development within Microsoft Office applications, required. AutoCAD experience is preferred but not required.
