- Provides oversight and daily supervision to the Behavioral Health Coordinators and Nurse Care Coordinators.
- Ensure appropriate coverage in the event of staff absence.
- Review and track high needs children to ensure appropriate interventions and assessments.
- Reviews suitability assessments for quality issues.
- Provide consultation and support to case management staff and supervisors in development of step-down plans of care and case plans, client assessment and placement scoring; serve as resource for problem-solving and crisis intervention.
- Serves as the Single Point of Contact for all human trafficking cases by participating in all MDT staffings, providing case consultation, and ensuring appropriate services are in place for dependency and community youth.
- Serves as the lead point of contact for Sunshine Health and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Attend staffings pertaining to placement activities and/or children needing intense wrap around services or higher levels of care as needed.
- Act as a liaison and develop positive and professional working relationships with, but not limited to, CPFC contracted providers, DCF, and GAL.
- Maintains formal and informal contacts with other agencies and groups.
- Provide consultation services to Child Protective Investigators (CPI), foster parents, and Children's Legal Services (CLS) as needed.
- Ensure agency's compliance with clinical safety and permanency standards through periodic review of service delivery to children.
- Acquire in-depth and on-going knowledge of managed care and utilization management principles in order to provide appropriate consultation to ensure quality service delivery.
- Participate in a quality improvement process.
- Collect, analyze, and report data as needed
- Prepare and conduct staff performance evaluations.
- Minimum of five years experience working with at risk children and families.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a social welfare, family safety or health care setting, preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and problem solve quickly and make decisions
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to assess appropriate intervention strategies
- Knowledge of community resources, DCF Protective Investigation Process
- Professional Florida License in Mental Health, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology or license eligible.
- Experience working within the DCF Protective Services system.
- Telephonic crisis intervention or case management experience.
- Possess a current Background Clearance Screening Letter as required by DCF.
- If local travel is required, a Valid Florida driver's license and documentation of current automobile insurance, with $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability limit, is required.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible to supervise and support the Behavioral Health Coordinators and Nurse Care Coordinators. This position provides guidance to staff and ensures compliance with the Sunshine Health contract.
