    Construction Management, Senior Project Manager

    Core Responsibilities

    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with superior quality and safety standards.
    • Visit project sites before construction starts to record potential impacts and ensure proper documentation.
    • Coordinate with the client, superintendent, and sub-contractors to oversee self-performed work and maintain updated records.
    • Conduct and participate in various meetings, including job kick-offs, project status reviews, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project progress.
    • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and preparing financial reports.
    • Oversee subcontractor management, including contract modifications, pre-construction meetings, and documentation.
    • Identify and manage project risks, including regulatory compliance and safety measures.
    • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of project-related information.
    • Maintain project documentation, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
    • Coordinate procurement activities, maintain project schedules, and manage project directories.
    • Seek opportunities to improve processes, project outcomes, and company operations.
    • Stay informed about industry changes and best practices.
    • Mentor and coach project team members, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
    • Foster a positive team environment and promote work-life balance.
    • May require attending project team and public meetings after hours.
    • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) internally (interdepartmental and intradepartmental) and externally (inclusive of clients, sub-consultants, municipalities).
    • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives.
    • Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement.
    • Be an ambassador for EPS at industry events and conferences. May require attending project team and public meetings after hours.
    • Actively involved in developing future business and building relationships with existing clients.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Achieve a 50-60% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
    • May manage $10M- 35M+ in projects.
    • May manage up to 3 direct reports.

    Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • 15 years of relevant experience working on residential construction projects.
    • Extensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, including familiarity with applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
    • Proficiency in a wide range of equipment and tools used in construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
    • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
    • Is proficient in Excel, Word, and Projects.
    • Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing demands effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and effectively in both one-on-one and small group settings.
    • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and build high-performing teams.
    • Detail-oriented and thorough approach to work.
    • Proactive in planning for risks and activities to meet or exceed deadlines and budgets.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address practical problems and navigate situations with limited standardization.
    • Upholds confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
    • Maintains the highest level of integrity in all relationships and situations.
    • Proficient in reading and understanding work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, contract document specifications, construction drawings, and CPM schedules.
    • Comfortable working in various environments, including both office settings and active construction sites.
    • Willingness to work outside in all types of weather conditions and in diverse work environments.
    • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance with good driving record.

    Physical Requirements

    • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
    • The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
    • The position requires a normal range of hearing.
    • The employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
    • Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching during office work and prolonged standing with a significant amount of time spent bending, squatting, and reaching when working in the field.
    • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Noise levels are consistent with a standard office environment.
    • Willingness to work outside in all types of weather conditions and in diverse work environments.
    • Capable of using hands for handling and feeling objects, as well as reaching with hands and arms.
    • Able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and walking on uneven surfaces.
