Job Description

Objective: Support and optimize all assembly operations by absorbing all related incidental tasks to allow assembly operators to focus on value added tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of successful experience in manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Erie manufacturing operations and process steps

Job Requirements:

• Ability to comprehend and execute work assignments with minimal follow up
• Knowledge and understanding of daily schedule and ability to organize this schedule to ensure optimum manufacturing
• Customer service and quality driven
• Ability to work on multiple priorities at a fast pace
• Basic math, reasoning, problem-solving and computer skills
• The ability to read blueprints and work instructions and apply them to assembly work
• The ability to use diverse hand tools, machines and to assemble and fabricate hoses including quality inspections
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to stand throughout entire shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to interact with all assembly associates to effectively anticipate manufacturing needs to minimize all value-added task interruptions
• Execute assignments as given by the Supervisor or Assembly Group Leader
• Have technical knowledge of assembly cells to plan and anticipate job requirements to ensure continuous hose assembly operations in each cell
• Inform Assembly Team Leader of all equipment, process, material, safety, and quality concerns
• Follow all work instruction, policies, work rules, safety guidelines, and work procedures
• Support work cells to reduce and eliminate bottlenecks of production process; may perform basic value-added cell operations as required
• Participate in daily housekeeping of assigned areas and other clean-up efforts as necessary
• Accept reassignment to other tasks as workload dictates

Pay Rate starting at $16.00 an hour with a $0.50 Shift Differential

Work Schedule: Mon-Thurs 6AM-4:30PM
