Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse advanced practice provider or physician Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan ensures health comfort safety of residents contributes to assessment of residents administers medications or treatments as ordered documents resident interactions as needed and outcomes related to resident care medication behavior activity dietary skilled establishing maintaining effective working relationships with residents healthcare providers public ability communicate clearly maintain confidentiality sensitive information counsels residents family members advocate direction registered nurse advanced practice provider or physician prevention treatment plans knowledge education principles develop self-care program performs other related duties assignedJob description
