Senior/ Lead C# Windows Software Enginer - Smyrna, United States - Insight Global

Description

• Develop requirements and user stories for a software system
• Implement frontend or backend software features in a JavaScript or Python framework, respectively
• Design data models and implement these data storage approaches in database systems
• Perform software development, software debugging, software modification / enhancement, and software documentation
• Create automated software tests
• Develop and maintain kernel and userlevel software and scripts
• Contribute to technical reports and presentations

Additional Responsibilities

• Follow agile software development processes and practices
• Support translation of system requirements into software requirements and design
• Work within crossfunctional teams to refine requirements, formulate technical approaches, implement designs, review code, and spread knowledge
• Design, implement, and execute automated tests (both unit and integration) to verify system functionality
• Contribute to automated build processes and continuous integration pipelines
• Document workflows and system use cases and facilitate user training
• Utilize and contribute to open source libraries

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience minimum
• Experience with C# (WinForms, WPF), C++, MATLAB, Java, or Python
• Experience with software version control tools and best practices (e.g. Git)
• Experience developing on/for Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience leading software development teams
• Experience with software development and collaboration tools such as GitLab and Atlassian

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with EW and avionics systems' architecture, function and interface
• Familiarity with relevant interfaces, including MIL-STD1553, Ethernet, serial, discrete and analog signal interfaces
• Master's degree
