Description
Participate in hardware and firmware development projects that will drive the future of Mestek's digital control platforms, including microcontrollers, Analog and Digital I/O, asynchronous and synchronous serial communications, touchscreen displays, and power supplies.
Contribute to all aspects of product development from concept through production
.
Develop electronic circuits to perform functions per requirements
.
Generate electrical documentation (schematics, BOMs, test plans)
.
Design circuit boards for verification of design and software development
.
Develop and implement software for embedded HVAC control systems
.
Design detailed test plans to ensure hardware and firmware are functioning properly
.
Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and firmware design engineers
.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and react to changing priorities
.
Maintain knowledge of computer engineering trends and new technology
.
Requirements:
Position Requirements:
At least a Bachelor's degree (
or foreign educational equivalent
) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
Any amount of post-baccalaureate, professional experience in each of the following:
Schematic capture and PCB Design
;
H
ardware integrating, testing, and debugging
;
Proficient in soldering small SMD components using a microscope
;
Developing embedded software in C
;
Proficient with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and function generators; and
Developing software for embedded operating systems.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
